Laboratory of Cryogenic Physics of the S.U.Umarov Physical-Technical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan was established in 1972. The main areas of laboratory research are the study of physical phenomena that occur in a substance at low temperatures and strong magnetic fields. The development of the use of physical methods in medicine has been developed. Among them are traditional methods of cryotherapy, tumor magnetotherapy, laser therapy and molecular spectroscopy methods in order to develop new diagnostic methods and control the course of treatment.
