The Atmospheric Physics Laboratory (APL) was organized in 1986 on the basis of the “Atmospheric Optics” group on the initiative of Abdukhakim Khamraevich Shukurov with the support of academicians A.M. Obukhov, G.S. Golitsyn, V.E. Zuev, G.I. Marchuk, M.S Osimi, A.A. Adhamov and S.Kh. Negmatullaev. Initially, 12 people worked in the staff of the APL under the leadership of Nazarov Bakhron Islomovich. Currently, the staff of the Laboratory is 6 people, including 1 doctor of science, 2 candidates of science.
