SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR ON THE TOPIC
“Investigation of new nanosystems and nanostructures of perovskite solar cells”
(Dushanbe, PhTI – 30.03.2023)
With rapidly increasing emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, it is necessary to develop alternative low-cost energy technologies and reverse the current increasing climate change, as global environmental problems become more pressing due to serious pollution, especially organic pollutants. A promising solution to the problem of degradation of pollutants is the use of alternative and renewable energy sources. For example, alternative sources such as wind turbines, moisture-to-electricity converters, photovoltaic converters (solar panels), solar thermal photovoltaic converters, etc. have a positive effect on air quality, and materials with optimal properties for this big task are not available everywhere . It is known that almost 40% of greenhouse gases are emitted into the atmosphere as a result of electricity generation. On the other hand, today 80% of the world’s energy is generated from fossil fuels (oil, coal, gas), and in addition to pollution, these types of natural resources are gradually being depleted. Global demand for electricity is growing faster than developments in renewable energy, resulting in a significant increase in energy generation from fossil fuels. Therefore, the main issue is the development of alternative renewable energy sources, and the possibilities of electricity generation from renewable energy sources are considered in the context of the projected global demand for electricity and the green energy strategy of the 21st century. And the development of photovoltaics as the flagship of alternative renewable energy sources bypassing fuel sources is becoming a global trend, which is supported at the level of interstate agreements.
Scientific seminars on current achievements and their review are periodically held at the S.U.Umarov Physical–Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan. In particular, on March 30, 2023, as part of the scientific activities of young scientists of the institute, Ph.D. Nematov D.D. and Ph.D. Burhonzoda A.S. held a scientific seminar on the topic “Investigation of new nanosystems and nanostructures of perovskite solar cells”. This topic is one of the directions of the scientific topic of the Theoretical Physics Sector of the Department of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnologies of the Institute and is devoted to the study of the properties of perovskites proposed for synthesis with doping structures to obtain materials with optimal, as well as predetermined and programmed properties. The application of this technology will have a positive impact on the creation of new generation solar panels suitable for the conditions and climate of Tajikistan, as well as the commercialization of easily adjustable materials based on sesium and tin trihalides, which, of course, is a significant step towards achieving the fourth strategic goal of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan – accelerated industrialization countries.
The research was carried out with the support of the International Science and Technology Center (grant no. #TJ-2726).
