June 23, 2022 scientific director of the Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky (“TsAGI”) of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a well-known scientist and specialist in the field of aerodynamics, highly respected Sergey Leonidovich Chernyshev visited our Physical–Technical Institute.
During the visit, a meeting was held between Academician S.L. Chernyshev with the leadership of the institute, where a number of areas of scientific and technical cooperation were discussed.
Also, as part of a working visit in the scientific seminar of the institute, which took place in the second half of 06/23/2022. in the conference hall of the Presidium of the NAST, Academician S.L. Chernyshev presented a report on the topic “Technological challenges of creating a new generation of supersonic passenger aircraft”. In the introduction by Academician S.L. Chernyshev presented general information on the activities of the Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics “TsAGI. The seminar was also attended by scientists from the Institute of Astrophysics, the Agency for Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear Safety under the NAST, representatives of branches of Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov and the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in Dushanbe and young scientists from the universities of the capital.
It should be noted that the Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky – is one of the largest centers of aviation science in the world. For the first time in the world practice, the institute united fundamental scientific research, applied research, design development, production and testing of experimental aircraft.
Following the results of the working visit of Academician S.L. Chernyshev to the S.U.Umarov Physical–Technical Institute of the NAST, a preliminary agreement was reached on organizing cooperation with the Central Institute of Aerohydrodynamics named after Professor N.E. Zhukovsky, possible options for joint directions in such areas as atmospheric physics, physical acoustics, modeling of composite materials and training of young scientists were discussed in detail.
