One of the effective methods of training young scientific specialists is to establish cooperation with scientific centers of industrialized countries. In this process, the S.U.Umarov Physical–Technical Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan has established fruitful scientific cooperation with a number of domestic and foreign institutions. In particular, the institute has been cooperating for many years with the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research in Leipzig (Germany) in the field of atmospheric physics, since 2018 and with Waseda University in Tokyo (Japan), since 2021 in the direction of research and synthesis of functional materials related to training of young Tajik personnel through internships and joint research. In particular, at present, two young scientists of the institute have been sent to the Department of Fundamental Science and Engineering of Waseda University in Tokyo for scientific training in the field of experimental research and synthesis of functional materials. And also, one third-year doctoral student is currently on an internship at the Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research in Leipzig, where he participates in practical experiments to study the composition of the atmosphere and atmospheric phenomena.
