On November 21, Dushanbe will host the opening ceremony
of the Republican round of the competition
“SCIENCE – THE LIGHT OF ENLIGHTENMENT”

On November 21, the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan will host the opening ceremony of the Republican round of the competition “Science – the light of enlightenment” (“Ilm – furugi ma’rifat”).
According to the approved plan, after the opening ceremony, participants will be distributed and sent according to nominations directly to the venues of the competition – halls and laboratories of research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan and the Tajik National University.
At the end of the first day of the competition, the participants will meet with the scientists of the academy and will be able to talk with them.
On November 22, the competition will be held according to the approved plan. On this day, a meeting of participants with folk poets of Tajikistan is planned. On November 23, after the 3rd day of the competition, the participants will visit the Historical and Archaeological Museum.
The competition will be held in 7 categories: “Mathematics”, “Physics and Astronomy”, “Chemistry”, “Biology”, “Geography”, “Information Technology” and “Inventions and Innovations”.
450 winners of the 3rd round are expected to participate in the Republican round. 2,345,000 somoni were allocated for the competition.
The awarding ceremony for the winners of the Republican round of the competition “Science – the light of enlightenment” will be held on November 25 at the S. Aini Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
Last year, the participants who took the first places were awarded 35 thousand somoni, the second – 25 thousand somoni and the third – 15 thousand somoni.
The participants who took the 4th, 5th and 6th places were awarded with badges “Science and Innovations”, diplomas of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
Cash prizes were also awarded to teachers of general education schools, whose students took first, second and third places in the fourth round of the competition.
Recall that the Republican competition ” Science – the light of enlightenment ” is held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in order to effectively implement the ” Twenty years of study and development of natural, exact and mathematical sciences in the field of science and education”.
